Nice piece of work Edite! I like the long, confident sweeping linework. The gown's got lots of volume and weight about it. Love the symbolism about it too...

Always like your firm linework, although it's still just a tad heavy for my taste (but you already know this :p ). The heavy linework doesn't leave much room for any kind of subtle shading, but in saying that, this is your definitive style so it's only observation 'n not a crit as such.

The 'Mistress', huh :p Love it!

Best wishes 'n hugs Xris

I love the bold strokes in this one, but it's hard for me to recognize some objects from the other. If i look carefully, then i'd be able to. I think if you work bigger, then you'll be able to keep doing the long bold strokes, but you'll also be able to get in some details as well. Just my thought!! Great job!!

your best post so far IMO. the figure itself seems pretty solid, i'm personally not too fond of the cross-hatching technique, but i can appreciate how it looks, and how it might look if you further refine your style. should look really good with more experience. there are some anatomy issues but...nice work. keep drawing :)

Working with a pen, crosshatch seems to be the best shading teqnique, and you've executed it very well! :) I like her expression, a very sexy clothing you gave her too. Great work, you're improving with every new work you post!

It's nice to see you going on the fantasy tour. Your controlling of the shapes is getting better. The perspective on the magic wand is weird, and her hands are very small. And...why show her nipple?

Because Edite loves nipples Arne that's why

Anyways, I didn't know you posted a new one until I saw the "Random Best Artwork"...glad to see that new feature is paying off.

You have definitely found your niche as far as how you wish to handle the pen, but what of those pics you might wish to do in the future that require a more subtle touch?

This really reminds me of something I would see with a parchment type paper for a card series. It has that old English woodblock look, which is pretty cool.

I think your folds are very 'safe', but could be more dynamic if you setup some references, still the overall design of the costume is just plain neato ;)

Why's she holding a staff with Janet Jackson's nipple ring on it?

Not bad...I'm a little confused about what's going on with her right hand though...it appears as though she's missing fingers and it looks kind of rubbery. Cross-hatching is pretty nice, would be good to see a slighly less static pose. Keep it up.

Cool, although her anatomy still needs a little work, study pictures with hands to get them looking more natural. The shading is nice in it's placement but a little sloppy to look at for finished work. Also start thinking about backrounds in your work, keep it up.

listen, i dont want to sound like negative or hurtful so dont give me any grief for being someone that has a different opinion. but, this just....seems like cheap. i mean i've seen some of your sketches on the sketch thread and whatever, and to me, this work looks more like a quick sketch, and the other pieces look better for some reason. maybe its just my taste though, i dont think this is showcasing your talent, but maybe you already know that. i'm sorry i'm not a happy, giddy skip to my lou critiquer like everyone else

very good edite- good drawing for only 3 hours, shadows look too rough to my taste, but maybe its just your style- or you didnt put enough time to it, anyway i like :)
